Flood Ombudsman to visit Rochester and Bridgewater
Sharman Stone Federal Member for Murray has invited The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) to Community meetings at Bridgewater and Rochester to help resolve flood insurance problems experienced by local businesses, farmers and residents.
“The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) offers help and information regarding insurance claims especially the problems resulting from the floods earlier this year,” Sharman Stone said.
“Rochester and Bridgewater and the paths in between were some of the worst hit in the Murray electorate. Settling insurance claims and disputes continue to be a problem for many who are so desperately trying to put their businesses, farms or homes back in order.
“I encourage anyone experiencing insurance difficulties to come along and hear what options are available to them. Individuals are also able to have one-on-one sessions if they wish to discuss their insurance dispute privately with FOS staff, “Sharman said.
The Ombudsman team will be at Bridgewater Hall on Monday, October 24 commencing at 1pm in Edwards Street and at the Campaspe Valley Community Centre in Rochester commencing at 7pm.
