Not for profit organisations that need a helping hand to manage historically significant collections are encouraged to apply for Community Heritage Grants.

Under pressure from the Coalition, the Rudd Labour Government has back flipped on its plan to allow beef imports from countries with known cases of BSD or Mad Cow Disease.
Last month in a disastrous move risking Australia’s pristine, disease free status, Minister for Agriculture, Tony Burke, lifted the 9 year ban on beef imports from countries who have reported cases of BSD or Mad Cow Disease.
