School Leavers Guide now available
August 4, 2011
As another busy school finishes for year 12s across Murray, Dr Sharman Stone, Federal Member for Murray, has released a new School Leavers Guide with lots of helpful information.
Dr Sharman Stone said this is an exciting and challenging time for final year students as they continue to work very hard in and out of class to complete courses and exams.
“Although our students are very busy at this time of year, an important task is to talk to parents, teachers, career advisers and people in the field they want to work in. They need to find out as much as they can about the right next step after school.
“Students leaving secondary schooling can struggle to find the information they need, or be overwhelmed with so many great choices and options.
“Some may have to move away from home to study, train or take up a job.
“This guide has information about career development, further education and training options, financial advice for young people, as well as many useful contacts for more detailed information,” Sharman Stone said.
“I wish our final year students all the best with their coming exams. I am sure all the hard work will pay off. As well, if our young people leave the area in the next stages of their life, let’s hope they return one day to be our next generation of business people, farmers, tradespeople and professionals.”
“The guide can also be downloaded from my website
www.sharmanstone.com or picked up from my office at 426 Wyndham Street,” Sharman Stone said.
Including many translated versions.
