Regional Achievement & Community Awards 2011

It is time again for the 2011 Regional Achievement and Community Awards. Nominations are open for individuals, businesses and community groups that are making a real difference in our community.

“These awards pay tribute to regional Victorians who are doing a great job. Applications must be received by 13 July,” Federal Member for Murray, Dr Sharman Stone said.

“Where would we be without those that contribute so much to making our community a better place to live?

“Our high achievers and community contributors should be acknowledged and I encourage the people of Murray to make a nomination on behalf of someone who deserves recognition,” Sharman Stone said.

Nominations are now open in the following categories:-

• Regional Development Victoria Business Achievement Award;
• Regional Development Victoria Trade and Career Achievement;
• Fonterra Dairy Leadership Award;
• Prime Super Community Group of the year Award;
• BlueScope Distribution Leadership and Innovation Award;
• Medibank Healthy Participation Award;
• DSE Water Efficiency Improvements Award;
• Parks Victoria Environment and Sustainability Award;
• Parks Victoria Regional Achiever Award; and
• Beaurepaires Road Safety Award.
 

“There will be a gala awards night in October at Ballarat to announce and celebrate the winners,” Sharman Stone said.
