Farmers who missed out on receiving farm exit grant payments due to the failure of the Government to allocate sufficient funds to the scheme last year have now been advised that their appeals to the government for payment of these grants have fallen on deaf ears.

After many weeks in a Saudi Arabian prison after being convicted of blasphemy, Australian citizen Mr Mansor Almaribe is now on a plane home. He will be arriving on an Arab Emirates flight a little after 2.00 am tomorrow. On the 14th November Mr Almaribe was arrested and later sentenced to two years jail and 500 lashes for “insulting the prophet Mohamed’s companion”, while on a pilgrimage to Mecca....
